Seana’s approach to school portraiture leaves traditional expectations behind. Her respect for children allows her to capture raw and candid images, revealing the unique personality of each of her subjects. With a background in early childhood education, and a love of play based learning, Seana captures children in their most natural state- during play.
Forget the perfectly combed hair, big lighting apparatuses, and bribes; children don’t need to sit still or force a smile. Seana’s artful and honest approach to school portraits produces images that actually look like the wild kiddos you know and love.

How It Works
School portraits happen outdoors. The best time of year for this to happen is April-October. Please book as soon as possible, as School bookings are capped at 5 per year.
Each classroom has a 45 minute photo session on the playground.
A full class photo is arranged.
Children are invited to play as usual.
Seana will interact with and photograph each child individually. Usually this happens organically.
At the close of each classroom session, any sibling photos for that group will be arranged.
Approximately three weeks later, all edited photos will be available through a password protected online gallery where families can choose their digital and/or print products.
All tangible items are shipped directly to families.

While School Sessions may require some schedule shifting, the process should feel stress free and fun for all.

2. Cooperative and supportive teachers are an important part of this process to ensure the timely arrival and departure of each class group, and the comfort of each child. Teachers know the children best and are encouraged/expected to support Seana in the picture making process!

SCHOOLS - $350 Deposit returned after session date
Digital images or prints may be purchased to be used in-house or for marketing purposes.
Custom packages may be created to include interior shots, staff portraits, etc. Please inquire.
